MURDOCK VILLAGE 137 ACRE LAND SWAP

Murdock Village (Charlotte County, Florida)
SED is working with Southwest Land Developers and Charlotte County Administration to acquire 137 acres of Murdock Village known as the Entertainment and Sports District. Murdock Village is approximately 982 acres that was acquired by Charlotte County in 2003 for the purpose of creating a planned community with a commercial/retail town center, government office complex, and residential development. SED is currently working with CCU staff and Growth Management to determine the existing capacity of the water, sewer and other entitlements associated with property. Preliminary hydraulic calculations have been performed on the 16 inch watermain along the west side of the property to determine if the Entertainment and Sports District has enough capacity and pressure to serve a future Waterpark Resort.
